July 4, 2024–South Padre Island, TX - In a shocking turn of events, four back-to-back shark attacks were reported on July 4 at South Padre Island, leaving beachgoers stunned and authorities scrambling to respond.
According to Texas Game Wardens, the attacks occurred in quick succession. The subsequent attacks followed in rapid succession, with all four incidents occurring within a short period.
Authorities believe that a single shark is responsible for the attacks, although the species and size of the shark have not been confirmed.
As a precautionary measure, authorities have closed the beach to swimmers and are urging people to stay out of the water until the shark is caught or confirmed to have left the area.
